Open daily from 9 am to 4 pm, the Reid Park Zoo has ample free parking and very reasonable admission fees. In addition, it is available to host private events after hours, including banquets, birthday parties, and dances. Receptions for people of all ages are popular at the Reid Park Zoo.

Whether visiting the Reid Park Zoo with a large group (discounts are offered for parties of 15 people or more), small group, or on your own, there are many opportunities for fun, as well as learning. Docents are stationed throughout the zoo and are always willing and eager to explain more about the animals. Self-guided tour brochures are also available at the entrance. Souvenirs, snacks, drinks and shopping options can also be found at the Reid Park Zoo.
